Wedding cakes, cupcakes, and cookies

Wedding cakes

School holidays are round the corner and I just did another wedding cake for a hantaran. This one is for a young bride who is still studying. Her marriage is an arranged one, which I find it amazing in these days. But she is a lovely, beautiful and obedient girl. She has informed me that she wanted roses on her cake.. pink and white roses. So, I did this cake for her.

Some of the other wedding cakes and cupcakes that I have done but didn't get the chance to share in this blog.

This cake is covered with fondant and decorated with lilies.

This one is decorated with calla lilies

This is how it looks after being place on one of the hantaran trays.

and the cupcakes to be given out as wedding favors.

Wedding cupcakes

Pink roses and green theme on these hantaran cupcakes.

Maroon and pink roses on these.. one of my favourite combination of colours.

Peach roses and cream themed hantaran cupcakes

Customer just mentioned that she wanted something pink and white and I did these orchids and hearts cupcakes :)

White and lilac daffodils cupcakes! Another favourite colour combination of mine :)

The theme for these wedding hantaran cupcakes is purple and white. But in the photo, the purple daises turn blue.

These Bride and Groom cupcakes are really cute! The icing on these are buttercream but the heart shapes are made out of fondant.

These cupcakes have carnations that are made out of buttercream

Cookies as wedding favors

These chocolate chip cookies are decorated with edible image of the bride and groom, individually sealed and boxed. They are given out as wedding favors.

These are bite sized chocolate chip cookies that are also given out as wedding favors.

Some customers prefer our regular sized chocolate chip cookies like these as wedding favors.

Football themed cakes/cupcakes/cookies (Part 4)

I realised the other day that someone had thought that I was a Manchester United (ManU) fan because I only have ManU themed cakes and cupcakes on this blog. Well, I have actually done other football clubs themed cakes, cupcakes, and cookies as well. I've just been bad in updating my blog these days.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of any football club. But I enjoy baking for their fans though :)

This Liverpool cake is a one kg rich lemon cake frosted with buttercream icing and edible image of the club logo.

Liverpool cookies. These are our "as big as your face" chocolate chip cookies for a big Liverpool fan. He loves our cream cheese brownies too. So, these were done for his birthday.

These Liverpool themed cupcakes are for Kat's birthday :)

Arsenal cake. This is a one kg rich chocolate cake for a big fan of Arsenal, of course! :)

Arsenal themed chocolate chip cookies..the regular ones and the "as big as your face" ones too.

To celebrate the birthday of a fan, we had baked this one kg Chelsea chocolate cake at the request of his friends. He was so happy that he came to thank me personally.

This one kg Arsenal classic butter cake was ordered by a wife for her husband's birthday.

ManU fans have also given us good support, requesting us to bake these chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes, and cakes for their celebrations.

ManU chocolate chip cookies!

ManU cupcakes!

We have recently baked this Rangers Football Club themed chocolate cake with cream cheese icing. The birthday boy is so happy with it!

Orange Cakes

At this time, most of the shopping malls and public places have put up their decorations to usher in the Chinese New Year of the dragon. What I love most is the variety of mandarin oranges available during this season. I love oranges and I drink orange juice almost everyday at breakfast. I love to use them in my bakes too.

One of The Cookie Cat's popular bakes is the Orange Syrup Cake. Every time I bake this cake, the song "I'm beautiful, in every single way" will be playing in my head because the cake is beautiful, moist, gorgeous, and most importantly, delicious.

This is the orange cake before the syrup is poured over it.

One whole orange (juice and rind) goes in the cake and I use another whole orange (juice and rind) to make the syrup. So, you can really taste the orange in this cake, and the syrup (where I use less sugar) makes the cake moist.

Well, if you are not a big fan of syrup, then you can opt for just the orange cake. We do bake the orange cake in the usual round or square pans. We do smaller cakes in the rectangular foil pans too. These are popular for tea time on any day.

Hmmm...let's have some for tea now :)
